In a working bay the reel is not storage — it is the thing that decides how fast a technician can move around a vehicle and how clear the floor stays between cars. Three jobs, in order of importance:
Hose and cable hang overhead and retract on their own, so nobody is stepping over loops or dragging a tail past a tyre between vehicles.
A steel painted spring holds the drum at the pulled-out length and rewinds on a short tug, with the inner pipe arranged so the hose rewinds flat.

Sizing rule: measure the longest pull from the wall position to the far corner of the largest vehicle, then add two metres for handling slack. If the total passes roughly 13 m, plan the 5 m outlet extension rather than moving the bracket.

Normal-pressure water and cleaning-agent supply with a gentle output that does not damage paint. This is a rinse-line specification, not a high-pressure washer rating.
Check your existing feed line thread and your spray gun coupling against these two before ordering — they are the fittings that decide whether commissioning is a five-minute job.
The drum rides on a copper axle, the part that carries the wear as the hose winds and unwinds shift after shift.

Two order details are easy to miss and expensive to fix after shipping: the earthing arrangement on the electric drum, and the plug standard for your market.
The electric drum is offered as a dual-wire model without a ground wire and a three-wire model with a ground wire. Match the version to the installation practice your electrician works to on site; where an earth run is expected, specify the three-wire version at the point of ordering rather than adapting afterwards.
The drum's job does not change — it retracts the cable and delivers a waterproof supply — but the cabling behind it must suit the local convention.

Measure the longest pull, add two metres of slack, and decide whether the 5 m outlet extension belongs in the first order or a later one.
The water drum is a 1.2 MPa normal-pressure supply for rinsing and cleaning agent. Pair it with the rinse line in your bay, not with a high-pressure machine circuit.
Confirm the 1/2" male inlet and the 16 mm copper quick connect at the outlet against your feed line and gun before the order leaves the factory.
